Final Fantasy VII Remake is probably the most anticipated remake of any other game that has been announced, fans have been anxiously waiting for any more information about the game that even small development updates are enough to at least acknowledge, that the remake is in development and hopefully not in development hell. Now a job listing has opened up that suggests that the game might be an action game, details below.
Final Fantasy VII Remake an action game?
Final Fantasy VII originally came out back in 1997 and it’s a classic JRPG with turned based combat system, while the recent Final Fantasy games are more in vein of Action RPG, we’re expecting that this game will follow the same route, despite it being a completely different game from a mechanical point of view. Now a job listing suggests that the upcoming game is an action game and not an action RPG. The listing is for a VFX designer and it’s been stated that
“You can play an active role in the core role of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE which is remade as an action.
It is a chance to challenge the world as a new FINAL FANTASY action.”
This pretty much tells us what direction the game is headed in, however keep in mind this could just mean that they want to make it into an action RPG, like Final Fantasy XV, so take this listing with a grain of salt as this could just have similar mechanics to Final Fantasy XV, instead of something like a Hack n Slash game like Metal Gear Rising.
We don’t know when this game will come out or how the progress is going, but we seriously cannot wait to revisit this gem in today’s standards.
