Dell introduced its new XPS 15 2-in-1 convertible laptop at CES2018 this year. It has 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8705G or Core i5, which is packed with AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL GPU with 4GB of HBM2.

These results of Intel AMD hybrid chip Benchmark shows the potential of Radeon RX Vega M GPU. For these benchmarks they picked Core i7-8705G processor (3.1GHz base, 4.1GHz boost) model, packed with Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics engine, 16GB of DDR4 memory, and an ultra-fast NVMe SSD.
Running games on 1920×1080 resolution with 30+ stable fps is something to appreciate. This 2 in 1 laptop was able to run Rise of Tomb Raider with 35+ stable fps on high image quality. Compare to Intel’s own integrated UHD 620 graphics, which was able to run this game not more than 8fps on medium image quality settings, proves its potential future ahead.

These new Intel hybrid chips are future of everything, their potential no doubt, is great. Till they get officially released, let’s continue to our expectations. Looks like the competition between AMD and NVIDIA has taken step towards hybrid chips as well. We’re going to see better results in future because of this.
