As we all know that Intel is expanding its 8th gen series codename “Coffee Lake” desktop processors. These CPUs will arrive in Q1-2018 with these new cost-effective B360 Express and H310 Express motherboards chipsets. SiSoft SANDRA database accidentally revealed one of the most awaited CPU of 8th generation, especially by gamers. Intel Core i5 8500 Leaked with few specs.
Intel launched Core i5 8400 at 189$ so, it can be expected that 8500 will touch 200$ or more. Retail price could go higher as retailers push 10-15% margins above MSRP.
Intel Core i5 8500 Specs:
There are few things that we don’t know about it yet though but, we should appreciate what we know. The Core i5 8500 comes with 6 cores running at 3.0 GHz Base Clock, compare to Core i5 8400, which has 2.80GHz Base Clock.
SANDRA database doesn’t reveal Turbo Boost clocks of 8500 but, as we know Core i5 8400 has 4.0GHz Turbo boost so, 8500 might get 4.3 Ghz of Turbo Boost or somewhere near it. Intel Core i5 has 6 cores and 6 threads with 9 MB of shared L3 cache and a TDP rating of 65W.
