OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition slightly improved on the hardware of the already powerful OnePlus 6T. The newer variant of the phone features 10GB RAM along with a new fast-charge capability that charges the phone up to 50 percent in just 20 mins using the new 30W Warp charger. Today, I will show you how to install OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition special content like Boot Animation, Wallpapers, and ringtones on your OnePlus 6 or 6T.
Download and Install OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition Special Content on Your OnePlus 6 or 6T
Apart from the slight hardware change, the special editions of OnePlus smartphones are known primarily for the new design and aesthetics that they bring. OnePlus did the same with OnePlus 5T when they released a special star wars edition of the phone. The special edition phones by OnePlus feature exclusive wallpapers, boot animation, and sounds that are in accordance with whatever the theme of the special edition for a specific model is.
OnePlus 6T Mclaren Edition Special ContentIn OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition’s case the theme, as is obvious from the name, pertains to Mclaren, a sports car manufacturer. Naturally, then the phone comes equipped with special wallpapers, boot animations and sounds that are unique to the McLaren Edition.
The good news is you can get all the special content on your regular OnePlus 6 or OnePlus 6T thanks to xda community member AnoopKumar who has created a magisk module containing all the special content. You will simply need to install the module via magisk manager.

Do note that your OnePlus 6 or 6T must be rooted in order to install the magisk module from magisk manager. Root access is only needed if you want the Mclaren Edition boot animation and camera sounds. If your OnePlus 6 or 6T is not already rooted you can do so easily by following one of the many magisk root tutorials available online via a google search.
The Module includes:
- Bootanimation
- Sounds (Ringtone, Notification, Camera)
- Wallpapers (Live, Regular)
Once rooted, follow the steps below.
Step 1- Download the magisk module from here.
Step 2- Open magisk manager which you would have already installed for rooting the phone.
Step 3- Copy the downloaded module to your phone or simply use your phone web browser to download it directly to your phone’s storage.
Step 4- In magisk manager, navigate to the zip that you downloaded from the link above and install it.
Step 5- Once installed, reboot your phone and you should have the boot animation show up.
