According to Infinity Ward communications manager’s Twitter handle, we have reason to believe that a new Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 game might be in the works.
Ashton Williams, Infinity Ward’s communications manager, has been posting pictures of paranormal things such as ghosts which can be perceived as signaling towards a Call of Duty Ghosts sequel. Call of Duty Ghosts was not the most successful Infinity Ward game to ever come out but many people liked it for the slightly different gameplay that it offered. On the whole, the first game was very ill-received by the community but there is no reason to think that Infinity Ward may not take another shot at it.

it may as well sound like wishful thinking at this point but we are not alone. A Call of Duty Reddit post has also drawn focus to the twitter posts and various people have commented saying that there might be some truth to the rumor. However, as is the case with any rumor, I do urge you to take it with a pinch of salt.

However, it makes some sense that the imagery is meant to hint at the title of the upcoming Call of Duty given the obvious connotation. See the tweets for yourself below

Seeing how it cant be due to Halloween which has long come to pass, the whole scary and ghost-like theme of the posts is very interesting, to say the least. Now we do know one thing for certain, that a new Call of Duty game is currently in the work, however, which franchise the game belongs to is the mystery right now. Some have pointed out in the Reddit thread that it is more likely for the next Call of Duty game to be Modern Warfare 4 but the evidence for that is lacking as well.
