hTC announces mid-range smartphones i.e. hTC Desire 816 and Desire 610

The first day of Mobile World Congress continues and so does we. As we keep bringing you all the top stories from MWC 2014. After Nokia and Sony unveiling some phones, while Samsung is just about to, so how can hTC be remained behind? hTC got us amazed by announcing two smartphones as it was really not expected. hTC owes a big market of Android Phones. hTC One can be regarded as one of the most popular Android phone. hTC Desire series is a mid-range phones series. Now, hTC has added two more handsets to this series i.e. Desire 816 and Desire 610.

Let’s have a look in to the both smartphones:

hTC Desire 816:

Coming to Desire 816 first, the handset comes with a comparatively large display and at low price. The handset will make its debut in China next month while rolling out in rest of the World in April. There are no words regarding its price yet. However as far as specs are concerned, here is the list:

  • Dimensions 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.99mm weighing 165g
  • 5.5-inch Display having resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels
  • 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU
  • 13MP Rear Camera and 5MP Front Camera
  • 1.5GB RAM
  • Connectivity: 2G, 3G, 4G support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi
  • 8GB Internal Storage
  • Colors: Black, White, Orange, Mild Green, Dark Blue, Grey Color
  • 2,600mAh Battery (Standby time and Talk time not revealed yet)

Other features includes dual front speakers with hTC features like hTC BoomSound, hTC BlinkFeed and hTC Sense 5.5.

hTC Desire 610:

Desire 610 seems more like a mini version of above mentioned hTC Desire 816. The phone has comparatively smaller display with low specs. The phone will make its launch in Europe in May followed by release in other regions possibly in June. Here is the specs of the handset:

  • Dimensions 143.1 x 70.5 x 9.6 mm weighing 143.5g
  • 4.7-inch qHD Display having resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels
  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
  • 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU
  • 8MP Rear Camera and 1.3MP Front Camera
  • 1GB RAM
  • Connectivity: 2G, 3G, 4G support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi
  • 8GB Internal Storage (expandable up to 64GB)
  • Same colors as of above i.e. Black, White, Orange, Mild Green, Dark Blue, Grey Color
  • 2,040mAh Battery (Standby time and Talk time not revealed yet)
