A month back HP announced 6” inch and 7” inch Slate Voice Tablets that acted as a big phablet. As HP is growing business hub in India so the voice tablets were released there. But MWC is a platform where things change. At a record speed of redesigning HP Slate 6 tablet took place and now it is to be introduced at MWC 2014. Looks like a big upcoming challenge for HP to compete with rivals.
Lastly customers weren’t happy with the release of the voice tablets in India this is why its Barcelona now and good news the all new phablets will be launched in Europe and Middle East by May. In line in MWC 2014 the HP Slate 6 is in compete with Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet and LG G Flex. Let’s see in the race of this phablet smartphone who wins the battle. Talking about the Slate 6 it is got a mixture look. It seems to be a combination of HTC One and Blackberry Z10. In looks it totally looks like Z10 whereas the upper top and the lower bottom of the phone just look similar to the HTC One.
As the prototype is at display we manage to have a quick analysis of it. To be honest camera doesn’t suit up well a 5MP rear and 2MP front camera wasn’t up to the expectations. Although Quad Core processor was able to attract the attention after a rough use and it went pretty well the whole time. Android OS running in prototype was actually 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but some official were confident enough to say that tomorrow you will actually be watching an upgraded Android Version of that. I think that they are point toward the Android 4.4 KitKat at the moment. The 6” inch 720p Display was good enough with a heavy color combination.
In addition to its features it would be a dual SIM phablet with up to 32GB of storage and an option of memory expansion. For the user HP manage to keep this phablet a low end phone in order to see the response in market. An estimate about $340 will be its price tag.
