Performance of Mortal Kombat 11 on Nintendo Switch

If you are facing troubling issues on Performance of Mortal Kombat 11 on Nintendo Switch, particularly with the framerate, one simple trick will make your life a whole lot easier. Go into settings and turn off Match Recording.

Match Recording basically saves your fights to your Kombat Kard, and this means that just like the Nintendo Switch’s own recording app, is always running in the background.

By disabling the games ability to record your games constantly, you get more memory for performance by turning off this feature.

You can turn it back on as you wish, especially if you want to go online and get material to boast about.

Mortal Kombat 11 is by far the most graphically different version of the game when compared to the PS4, Xbox One and PC version. This is mainly due to the hardware on the handheld, but despite the system’s shortcomings, NetherRealm studios were able to make the system deliver a steady 60 FPS experience.

Considering how the Nintendo Switch has more limited memory than its counterparts, it would be wise to turn this feature off if you prefer performance over flash.

People have reported that there are also visual improvements to the game after this, but this is yet to be confirmed. It has been confirmed that the game significantly reduces the chances of stutters or FPS Spikes in the game from impeding your ability to pull off combos.

With the game only out for a day, we can hope that NetherRealm Studios releases more updates to make the game run better on the Nintendo Switch with Match Recording enabled.
