Before you attempt any of the resolutions mentioned below, you have to make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Superhot: Mind Control Delete. If it does not, there’s no point in attempting any of the resolutions, as your computer can’t run the game.

Method #1 — Launch The Game From SHMCD.exe:
If Superhot: Mind Control Delete crashes for you as soon as you launch it, you should open it from SHMCD.exe. You’ll find this file from the game’s directory! If this does not work for you, you can run it with administrative properties, with the Run as administrator option.
- Open the drive that you have your Steam library folder installed in.
- From there, go to the Steam folder.
- From there, head over to the steamapps folder.
- Then, open the common folder and find the folder for Superhot: Mind Control Delete.
- Here, you’ll find the SHMCD.exe file; open it.
- If that doesn’t resolve the issue, right-click on it and choose the Run as administrator option.
You can also add SHMCD.exe as an exception to Windows Defender. It may be that Windows Defender is the obstruction that causes the crashes. For this;
- Open Windows Security from the Start menu.
- From there, click on the Virus & threat protection option.
- Under Virus & threat protection settings, click on the Manage settings option.
- Scroll down to find Exclusions; click on the Add or remove exclusions option under it.
- Click on + Add an exclusion and choose the SHMCD.exe file from there.
Method #2 — Update Your GPU Drivers:
Since Superhot: Mind Control Delete is a new game, both AMD and NVIDIA will release optimized drivers for it. If you’re using a discrete GPU, it is important that you update your drivers to the most up-to-date ones, as they would be compatible with the game. You can download the most up-to-date drivers from your GPU manufacturer’s website; AMD or NVIDIA.
Method #3 — Update Your Windows:
Often than not, many people ignore Windows updates. But, it is important to ensure that your Windows is up-to-date, as it brings support for new games and applications.
