Red Dead Online is a standalone release by Rockstar Studios. Originally part of Red Dead Redemption 2, players can now purchase the online component for an introductory price of $5. The price will be increased to $20 in February next month across all platforms. This is an excellent time to purchase it if you have interested in online games from Rockstar. PC users have been running into a Red Dead Online low audio issue problem, and here is how you can fix it.
PC users also have the choice of buying the game on three different kinds of clients. You can buy it on Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Rockstar Launcher. The Rockstar Social Club is still required to play on any of these, however.
Red Dead Online low audio issue and how to fix it
The latest update for Red Dead Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 has caused issues for PC users where the audio levels are very low. You need to bump up your PC volume up to 80 and even 90% while trying to play the game.
Low volume in any game is a serious problem, especially one like Red Dead where you have to hunt as well. Plus increasing the overall volume means everything else will sound increasingly loud as well.
To fix this, follow the method below.
Manually increase the volume for Red Dead Online in Sound Settings
- Launch Red Dead Redemption 2 or Red Dead Online
- When you reach the menu, press the Alt + Tab keys to open the Desktop
- Now, right-click on the Volume icon in the Taskbar
- Select “Open Volume Mixer”
- Here, you can observe that the sound level for Red Dead Redemption 2 is super low compared to the rest
- Increase it to match the Speakers, as shown below
After you are done, the sound should be normal again, and you can hear it while you adjust the level.
