Phasmophobia Stuck at loading
A few users have reported that they can’t seem to load the game, and it always ends up being stuck at 90%. Sadly this means that a save file is corrupted, and you can fix this problem by following the steps below.
Method 1: Delete Save File
- Head over to the following location
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Kinetic Games\Phasmophobia
- Here, you will see a the saveData.txt file
- Delete this, and run the game again
- Keep in mind that this will delete your progress
This should fix the error for you.
Method 2: Delete local files and reinstall the game
If Method 1, didn’t work for you, try the following.
- Head over to the following location
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Kinetic GameS
- Delete everything in this folder, and reinstall the game
Method 3: Run in Admin Mode
Close Steam, and then try running the game in Administrator mode. To do this follow the steps below.
- Right-click on the executable of Phasmophobia, and select Properties
- Now, click the Compatibility tab
- Here, check “Run as administrator”
