Mafia Definitive Edition is the remake of the original action-adventure that came out back in 2002. This is a modern retelling of the classic from Hanger 13 and 2K. Mafia Definitive Edition Not Launching Issue
A few users can’t seem to get the game working, primarily because of the launcher. This occurs when players try to either use the icon shortcut from Steam, or the Play button in the Library. You can get the game running by following the steps mentioned below.
- Open your Steam library and right-click on Mafia: Definitive Edition
- Select Properties, and now head to the LOCAL FILES tab
- Here, select BROWSE LOCAL FILES. This will take you to where the game is installed
- Now, in this folder, instead of running the game with the launcher, run it with mafiadefinitiveedition.exe
- This will launch the game
- To make sure the game runs through this every time, simply disable the launcher in-game. You could also create a shortcut for the exe and launch it from there.
