Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game from Guerrilla Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The title originally came out on the PS4 back in 2017 but is now available on PC as well. There are a few technical problems the game is running into sadly. Here is how you can fix the Horizon Zero Dawn Ultrawide Issues on PC.
Death Stranding came out last month and ran quite well, but Horizon has a slightly rocky launch so far. We hope developers take notice of some of the performance issues and fix them.
Fix Horizon Zero Dawn Ultrawide Issues
Even though Horizon Zero Dawn supports ultrawide resolutions, there is a blurring effect on the edges. You can fix that by following the method mentioned below.
To fix this, you will need to download HxD
After you have installed it. Follow the steps below.
- Run HxD and then click ‘HorizonZeroDawn.exe”
- You can find this in the following location
\steamapps\common\Horizon Zero Dawn
- Now, press Ctrl+R on your keyboard and select “Hex-values”
- After this click on Search Direction “All”
- Search for 39 8E E3 3F and change it with 8E E3 18 40 for 3440×1440 (see below for more resolution values)
- Press Change everything (bottom middle option)
- Go to the top left of the application and save it in the destination where the exe for horizon Zero Dawn is present, replacing it with the old one
Here are some useful resolution values
21:9 Resolutions
- 2560×1080 = 26 B4 17 40
- 3440×1440 = 8E E3 18 40
- 3840×1600 = 9A 99 19 40
- 5120×2160 = 26 B4 17 40
- 6880×2880 = 8E E3 18 40
32:9 Resolutions
- 3840×1080 = 39 8E 63 40
- 3840×1440 = AB AA 2A 40
- 5120×1440 = 39 8E 63 40
