Death Stranding is an open-world action game developed by Kojima Productions. The game is their first title after splitting from Konami. The game received critical acclaim after its released on PS4. Hideo Kojima’s latest title got released on PC yesterday via Epic Games Store and Steam. The game runs great and smoothly, yet there are some issues and errors that are expected from a big release like Death Stranding. Windows 10, version 1809 brings tons of new group policies and a lot of new features. Microsoft released the update notes on June 2, 2020. If your Window’s version is still old. Fix Death Stranding Requires Windows 10 version 1809 or Later Issue on PC
To fix the issue you will have to:
- Go to your Steam folder, usually located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
- Right-click on Steam.exe, disable any of the Windows Compatibility Mode settings in the “Compatibility” properties tab, and then apply the changes.
- Restart the Steam client.
This fix will not allow the Windows operating system version to check when the Windows Compatibility Mode is disabled on Steam. This should fix the issue.
