Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been out for a while now and while the game is being enjoyed by many there are, however, some issues faced by PC players in particular. This time we have reports that players are facing sudden FPS drops or lag on High-end Nvidia GPUs such as GTX 1070 Ti/GTX 1080/GTX 1080 Ti. It is very frustrating to shell out all that money for high-end hardware and then not being able to play your favorite game. However, worry no more as I will show you how to Fix Black Ops 4 FPS Drop issue.
How to Fix Black Ops 4 FPS Drop or Lag on Nvidia Graphics Card
Now it’s not necessary that this problem will only occur on the aforementioned GPUs. This problem might appear on even slightly older Nvidia GPUs such as the 900 series. Whatever the case maybe this is how you fix it.
In my experience, the problem is caused by the Geforce Experience app which tries to automatically balance the game settings for you. In most cases, Geforce Experience might switch the render resolution from 100% to 200%. This undoubtedly will drop your frames in game as it is very taxing on your GPU especially if you are playing on 1440p. Simply, lower that setting back to 100% where it probably was before the so-called “balancing”. Turn off game optimization from Geforce Experience and it won’t try to change your settings again.
