Among Us is an online multiplayer party game from Innersloth. The title originally came out back in 2018 but had a sudden surge in player count, and is now one of the most played games on Steam. It is also available on mobile devices including iOS and Android. If you are on PC and are running into the Among Us Wrong Region bug, here is how you can fix it.
It’s very fascinating to see a title that came out 2 years ago finally rise to it’s potential, and see players finally engaging with the vision of the developers.
Among Us Wrong Region Issue
If you are running into the bug where if you change regions while connecting, the game may overwrite your region data with the wrong region and makes you connect to a different region next time, here is how you can fix it.
- Open Windows Run, by either pressing the Windows + R keys together or by typing in Windows Run in the Windows Search
- Type the following as shown below
%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Innersloth\Among Us
- Here, delete the serverInfo2 file, and your issue will be fixed.
Developers have also confirmed that a new update fixes this, but if you are still running into the problem, the method above will fix it as well.
