Adjust Field of View in Remnant: From the Ashes

Given how the game is a third-person shooter, adjusting the FOV can be crucial for some players, and while the game doesn’t provide an in-game option, here’s how you can do it.

  • If you’re using Windows, head over to the following location
C:Users(Username)AppDataLocalRemnantSavedConfigWindowsNoEditor
  • If you’re using Linux, head over to this location
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/617290/pfx/
  • Open Engine.ini with notepad, or any other text editor of your choice
  • Now that you have opened the file, add the following lines into it, and replace XX with your desired value for FOV
[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=XX

We recommend you use 60 for the most ideal experience. That’s all you’ll need to do to change the field of view in the game, and play it without any camera issues.

The game has been performing quite well on PC, and people haven’t been running into any performance issues so far.
