This week, along with lying our eyes on Mobile World Congress-Barcelona, we also saw something ‘quite awaited’ from Google. The voices assistant Google Now Launcher made its way to Nexus and Google Play Edition devices this week. Due to limited availability of Google Now Launcher on certain Android devices, many users left sad! However, there is no need to be sad any more. Here we have got the INSTRUCTIONS TO GET THE LAUNCHER on devices other than Nexus.
Instructions to get Google Now Launcher on other Android devices:
Basically, you need to follow three instructions to get the launcher:
- First of all, make sure you have enabled the installation of third-party applications. To do so, go to Settings > Security > Device Administrators. Under the label, you will see the option ‘Verify Apps’. Enable the option.
- Secondly, make sure you have got the latest version of Google Search i.e. v3.2.17.1009776. If you don’t have, go to Play Store to download.
- Finally, you need the .apk file of the launcher. You can get Google Now Launcher apk file from many launchers i.e. DevHost and AndroidPolice. After downloading, run the file and follow these instructions to install the launcher.
The method seems to work with many Android devices. Go and grab the new launcher to have a quick access to Google Now.
