Recently, Windows Phone GDR3 update has rolled out. It seems that the update has solved the problem in some hTC devices. There are reports from hTC 8X owners that they were able to solve the issue after receiving Windows Phone GDR3 update.
Some users prefer to charge their smartphones after turning them off as this saves the power and charges your phone at better speed.
