Geoff Keighley just uploaded a teaser trailer of the games that will be shown at The Game Awards 2018. It is only for a brief second but you can catch a glimpse of Sam Fisher at 0:53-0:54. Could this mean that Splinter Cell at The Game Awards 2018 has officially been confirmed? Every other game that was shown in the teaser trailer are games that are currently in development like The Last of Us 2 and Death Stranding as well as current titles like Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and other titles.
The teaser trailer in question is below. and you can only see the game for a split frame.
Every year I really enjoy the creative process of personally editing a teaser/hype video for #TheGameAwards. Here's what I put together this year. It's not meant to tease, just celebrate how much this industry means to me. Hope you'll join us Thursday as we walk between worlds. pic.twitter.com/BaQ9aQT1pR

The (Green) Devil is in the details
Splinter Cell has constantly made appearances throughout 2018. Sam Fisher was first a cameo character in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: WIldlands and then there was an easter egg for Third Echelon Night Vision Goggles in Assassins Creed: Odyssey.
We haven’t seen much of Splinter Cell since Splinter Cell: Conviction for the Xbox 360 and the PC in 2010 and Splinter Cell Blacklist on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013. After more than 8 years of waiting, its time for Sam Fisher to make a next-gen comeback.
All of the games are Ubisoft’s properties and Ubisoft has recognized that there is a significant demand for Sam Fisher and with Konami supposedly having no new plans for a future Metal Gear Solid game, now would be the best time for Sam to take the mantle of action-stealth.
Walmart Canada – Thank You!
It is also worth mentioning that Splinter Cell is the only game left on the games list that Walmart Canada released ahead of E3. Almost all the games on the list have been released or have been announced, so now the list has gone full circle.
We can hopefully wait for an official announcement trailer for the game with the anticipation of a 2019 release date and being able to play the game before the new generation of consoles arrives.
I know I am excited to play another entry in the series. Considering Ubisoft tried to fill the void of action-stealth with Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2. Now its time for the true king to take the throne back.
