Fortnite, taking inspiration from PUBG and turning itself from a crafting horde zombie game into the no 1 battle royale game is out on most major platforms, except Android, but fret not, it is coming and we have all the details you need.
Fortnite Mobile Android Release Date
First of all, let’s get this out of the way, Fortnite Mobile is currently available on iPhone and iPad, the Android version has been announced and while initially stated to come out a few months after the iOS release, now is slated for “summer”. The official blogpost about the announcement reads
“We are targeting this summer for the release,” read the blogpost. “We know many of you are excited for this release, and we promise that when we have more information to share, you’ll hear it from us first.”
While there is no solid Release Date for the game, at least we know that it’s going to be out very soon and given how many platforms Android is available on, it is exciting to see how it performs.
Epic is constantly making upgrades and tweaks to their mobile version and we’re sure that by the time it’s out on Android, it’ll perform quite well and could possibly be the best platform to play it on.
Fortnite Mobile Android Details and APK Update
If you’re planning to get Fortnite on Android, here’s what we think the game will include, keep in mind crossplay is a big thing in Fortnite so we’re expecting that Android will have as well, with iOS as well. Considering how the iOS version has the same gameplay, same map, and same weekly updates.
The iOS version performs very well for a mobile game and functions exactly as the main game on current gen platforms, though it does not support all iPhones and iPads, which are iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus; iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3, iPod Touch so it should be noted that while the game will most likely be free, it won’t support a lot of mobile phones due to lack of hardware capabilities, it’s possible that they will run but there will be obvious performance loss and there won’t be the same smooth experience the game is meant to be played with.
