The much-awaited Fallout 76 is an upcoming online multiplayer action RPG game that is being developed by Bethesda Game Studios. The game will be published by Bethesda Softworks. Fallout 76 will mark the ninth game in the franchise and is reportedly a prequel to the series.
The game will be played as a solo or in a party of up to 3 players. As far as story is concerned the game will play out as a prequel to the story already established in prior games. It will feature an alternative version of history and the year would be 2102.
As for the purchasing of the game, it has come to our attention that the game won’t be available on popular stores line steam or GOG, apparently, you will be able to preorder the game from Windows store only. To preorder the game go here. After it was announced that the game will only be available on Windows Store people started to speculate whether Bethesda has made some sort of deal with Microsoft.
Forum members over at resetera stated that Bethesda has pulled this move probably to steer clear of the 30 percent cut they need to pay to Valve incase the game was made available on Steam. However, it makes little sense that Bethesda would then opt for another online store which charges somewhat the same percentage as Steam. Whatever the reason might be, it is clear that the game is up for preorder and many interested players are already making the purchase.
