Shazam is an app which lets you identify TV, movies and music instantly by using the microphone of your smartphone. Facebook has updated its app to add a similar functionality. Currently Facebook allows you to share what you are listening to or what are you watching but you need to type it yourself. If you are watching a TV Show like Game of Thrones then you’ll have to Type its name in order to share it with your friends or public.
The new update in the Facebook app allows you to share all this more conveniently. It works like a breeze. Say you are listing to Titanium by David Guetta, you just have to open your app and tap “Listening to”. The microphone of your smartphone will be activated and an icon will be moving on your screen which will identify the song you are listening to and will automatically add “Listening to Titanium”. This feature really reduce your effort of sharing.
This feature is totally optional, you can deactivate it if you do not like this feature. And it can identify, TV show, Music and Movies like Shazam. The feature will be available in coming weeks to different countries starting with United States of America. It will be compatible with iOS and Android versions of the app and there are no words on Windows Phone version and web version of Facebook.
