How to Enable Flash Support on Android 4.4 KitKat devices?

Since the release of Android Jelly Bean 4.1, the flash support has been removed. Although almost all the users complained about this yet the support was not added back in later versions. In fact, things got worsened after the release of Android 4.4 KitKat. Till Android KitKat, you can install browsers with flash video support. But Android KitKat also remove the support for such browsers.

However, you can still enable Flash support of Android KitKat devices. The procedure includes a browser and a hacked flash player. Thanks to a xda developer i.e. surviveland for bringing the solution. Before you begin the procedure, make sure you have enabled the installation from third-party apps. To do so, go to ‘Settings’.

Procedure for Enabling Flash Support on Android KitKat:

  1. First of all, download the Dolphin Browser on your device from here (Google Play Store link).
  2. Install the browser on your device.
  3. Now, head to Dolphin Browser Settings and enable the Dolphin Jetpack option. If the option is not there, download it from here and enable.
  4. Now, download hacked Adobe Flash Player (Source 1 | Source 2).
  5. Launch the .apk file on your phone and proceed the installation.
  6. After the installation completes, run Dolphin Browser then tap on Menu button. Heads to Settings > Web Content menu and enable the Flash Player option.
