Emma Watson is soon going to realign herself to show how a big-screen heroine should look. Emma Watson will play Kelsea Glynn in the film which is a modified form of The Queen of The Tearling, Erika Johansen’s novel about a young woman brought up by foster parents in a cottage hidden away in secluded woodland. On her 19th birthday, Kelsea (Emma Watson) is carried away from her home to take her rightful place as emperor of a fictional post-utopian country that holds dark secrets and is jeopardized by a neighboring monarch. What’s captivating is that Johansen hasn’t described Kelsea as some candid beauty with Duchess of Cambridge-style toppling hair.
Johansen writes that Kelsea’s(Emma Watson) face is as ‘round and reddish as a tomato’ & she’s strapping but as the tale passes, her body becomes covered with contusions and scars. She’s a character worth for transferring it from books to cinema. Her Guardian, Carlin and Barty, raised her to be ‘ imaginative queen’, but she’s not ready to face the horrific situations being penetrated in her own land, and she doesn’t have a tiny notion about the evil that incite in the mind of the Red Queen, who rules next door in Mortmesne.
Clearly, Emma Watson not meant to look as slim & supple as Jennifer Lawrence. One of the actress’s colleagues noted: ‘With Emma, it’s hard to be that plain, but she’ll be playing someone who has a physicality.’ One of Kelsea’s friends tells her: ‘You think of beauty only as a blessing, but it brings its own punishments.’ There’s no hardcore wish on the part of the people behind the film — nor does Emma Watson, who’s an executive producer— to give Kelsea beauty-queen look.
But if this film is as successful on screen as expected, it will be a next huge fictional bomb attracting the people. It is surely going to help the teenage girls wanting to imitate their celebrity idols’ like Emma Watson stunning looks.
Before filming, Emma Watson needs to learn how to ride a horse, energized herself and do weeks of combat training. She’ll also be taught how to noose rabbits and practice climbing trees. But the quest to save her kingdom and meet her destiny has only just begun—a wondrous journey of self-discovery and a trial by fire that will make her a legend…if she can survive.
The Queen of the Tearling introduces readers to a world as fully imagined and terrifying as that of The Hunger Games, with characters as vivid and intriguing as those of The Game of Thrones, and a wholly original heroine (Emma Watson). Combining thrilling action and twisting plot turns; it is a magnificent debut from the talented Erika Johansen. The screenplay for the film has been written by revered director Alejandro Gonzalez.
Hayman and Emma Watson worked together on all the Harry Potter film series. As the producer managed to get the rights of J.K Rowling’s edition, in the same manner he along with Warner Bros have done the same thing with the Tearling series, the first part of which will be published in the UK by Transworld on July 17th & in the U.S. on July 8th.
Once the script has been handed in the director will be finalized. Some interesting characters are going to be cast including a motley troupe of Queen’s Guards who aspire to keep Kelsea out of danger, plus the Red Queen, and a Regent both of whom want Kelsea dead.
Moat probably the Filming on the mesmerizing fantasy could start next year after the availability of an intellectual & well known director who could manage his dates along with Emma Watson. Plus, there are some mammoth new worlds to be created on studio back lots.
