Rooting the Android device enables you to enjoy the real ability of your device. Moreover it allows you to run various android apps that are not capable of running on unrooted android device. Early people used to wait for developers to root the new released device but now the developer Chainfire has now rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 with an auto mechanism.
The root only works on Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE, GT-I9505 due to certain limitations. The root works with the firmware XXUAMD2. All other firmwares are not supported. Although, the mechanism is developed by the Chainfire, still we take no resposibility of any damage to your device during this tweak.
So what are the requirements for this tweak, you need:
- Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 with firmware XXUAMD2
- Odin3 Flash Utility
- Chainfire Auto-Root package
- USB Drivers configured for your Galaxy S4
- At least 50% battery remaining on your device
Follow these steps in order to root samsung galaxy S4
Step 1: Download the files from here and uncompress these files to a convenient location.
Step 2: Now you need to put your Galaxy S4 in Download mode, to do so use the button combination.
Step 3: Now start Odin3 on your computer. Connect your device using to the PC using USB Cable. Your device should be in download mode as you connect. Odin3 will detect the connection and indicate a COM port.
Step 4: Select the .tar.md5 file under PDA that you extracted from Chainfire Auto-Root package. Click on the Start button in order to start flashing the new PDA. Just make sure that “Re-Partition” is unchecked. Moreover don’t CHANGE other settings.
Step 5: Once the process is completed, the device will reboot automatically but this time with Red Android Logo which shows that you have now got root access.
Step 6: If still the boot happens without the red Android Logo, manually boot into recovery. This will start the process.
