Earthworm Jim is a unique shooting platformer that anyone who grew up in the ’90s will be well familiar with. The game hasn’t had any recent returns to the gaming world, but it seems it will come exclusively to the Intellivision Amico as a first-party title.

However, the return will only be exclusive to the recently announced Intellivision Amico.
Unlike the retro consoles that Nintendo and Sony are making, The Intellivision Amico will be a retro console that will keep getting updated games, have wireless controllers and other features.
It will have its digital store for consumers to buy games, and support the console. This is a first when we talk about retro game consoles continuing their support for titles after leaving the store shelf.
The Intellivision Amico will release on October 10th, 2020. While a release date isn’t mentioned in the company’s press release, we can only assume that this will be a launch title for the console.
With Intellivision entering the console race, 2020 will be a tough time for the console as that is also the expected release date for Sony’s PS5, and Microsoft’s successor to the Xbox One. We do know that both consoles are definitely launching in 2020, so the retro console might have a hard time on store shelves.
If you are a fan of retro games, especially in the era of the Intellivision, you should definitely support the Amico as it looks like a great console to relive the glory days of gaming.
