Earlier we reported that EA Games on Steam could be happening really soon, and today a new Tweet from EA has pretty almost confirmed it.
EA Games were available on Steam initially, before those and new ones moved to EA’s own PC client, Origin, but now, after a few years, it seems they’re making a comeback again.
EA Games on Steam Almost Confirmed
If you’ve already read our detailed article on the matter, you’ll know that there was plenty of evidence supporting the claim. Today Electronic Art’s official Twitter handle tweeted the following

As you can see, there’s a coffee mug, with an EA logo, and Steam coming out. You can’t be more on the nose than this. We get it EA, you’re coming back to Steam, and this is probably the funniest way to confirm our suspicion.
EA hasn’t officially announced anything, but given their recent activity, we’re sure an announcement is imminent.
There are plenty of games that could actually sell better on Steam, because of its popularity and healthy userbase. From single-player titles like the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series to their Multiplayer titles like Battlefield and Anthem.
Battle of the Storefronts?
Steam has been the leading storefront when it comes to PC gaming and has been for a while now. Despite companies launching their own storefronts and launchers, the general PC community still prefers Steam due to its extensive features.
Epic Games Store is the only storefront/launcher that has really stirred things up for Steam, and that too because of their exclusivity deals, and not the client itself.
Steam has also made several Microsoft Studios’ games as well, and the highly anticipated Halo The Master Chief Collection is headed to the client as well.
