The recent reviews of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age look very promising. IGN gave the game an 8.8/10 and Gamespot gave it a 9/10. The Game Sports an impressive 88 on Metacritic so far. This is a traditional turn-based JRPG. And it makes us giddy that the genre that had gone to sleep for a while is now seeing a massive resurgence. We now have many super hit triple-A turn-based JRPGs like Persona 5 and Dragon Quest XI. Here’s hoping that the genre sees just enough innovation to keep going on strong.
