The Mi 8 youth can be considered a watered-down version of the more expensive and premium Mi 8 which comes with such features as a Snapdragon 845 CPU which is the fastest current CPU in the smartphone industry. The Youth Edition, however, incorporates a downgraded version i.e. Snapdragon 660. There are some other downgrades as well, however, they are not worth mentioning. The phone is good value for money and that is the key aspect. Although what has surprised us is that the youth edition features a pressure-sensitive fingerprint sensor that hides under the display. This is a highly innovative technology and hasn’t even made its way to the prominent Android brands but Xiaomi is offering it in such a low priced phone.
