Samsung One UI Android Pie Update
Android Pie

Samsung Galaxy S8 is a bit late to the game but it turns out that Samsung has opened up registrations for its Samsung One UI Android Pie update. The beta program was initially put forth for S9 and Note 9 smartphones, however, it was evident that Samsung will be branching out the beta program to its S8 and S8+ smartphones in the future as well. Now the time is finally here and if you own a Samsung Galaxy S8 you can register for the beta.

The announcement went live just a few hours ago on Samsung members app in India. However, it does not come as a surprise because test builds of these beta programs were spotted on Samsung’s servers right after the opening of registration of Android Pie on S9 and Note 9.

Registration is pretty straightforward as long as you belong to the designated region. First off, download the Samsung Members app from here. Register an account and follow the onscreen instructions. That’s it. However, beware that it is not guaranteed that you will receive the beta update as spots are limited. The beta firmware versions are G950FXXU4ZSA5 for the Galaxy S8 and G955FXXU4ZSA5 for the Galaxy S8+.

We don’t know how long the beta for Samsung One UI Android Pie Update will last on Samsung S8 but it is certain that an actual stable build will take months to finally release on the S8.

Be sure to check out the availability of the beta program in your region through the members app and sign up for the program. The new Samsung One UI is a completely different experience with a plethora of new features and improvements over the previous Samsung Experience UI.
