Nvidia Geforce 416.16 WHQL Drivers is out now for download showing support for Windows 10 latest October update. The update also includes Nvidia’s Ray Tracing technology for DirectX (DRX).
Nvidia Geforce 416.16 WHQL Drivers for Windows 10:
Nvidia has just released their 416.16 WHQL drivers. These drivers will provide public release of DirectX Ray Tracing to improve performance with RTX GPUs along with the support for Windows 10 October 2018 update.
These drivers will improve performances in RTX supported games i.e Shadow of the tomb raider and Battlefield V, although there only a few such games but it is imminent that there will be alot more games with Ray Tracing support in the future.
There are a lot of bug fixes and SLI profile updates as listed below.
Game Ready
Following are the new features which are introduced in the new driver:
- Added support for Windows 10 October 2018 Update (Redstone 5)
- NVIDIA Control Panel (3D Settings)
SLI/3D Profile Updates:
- Basingstoke – AFR profile added
- Battlefield V – AFR re-enabled
- Divinity: Original Sin II – AFR profile added
- Immortal: Unchained – AFR profile added
- Jurassic World Evolution – AFR profile added
- Phoenix Point – AFR profile added
- Seven: The Days Long Gone – AFR profile added
- Added or updated the following 3D Vision profiles:
- Elder Scrolls: Online – Good
- Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – Not recommended
Discontinued Support:
- 32-bit Operating Systems
Beginning with Release 396, NVIDIA is no longer releasing Game Ready drivers for
32-bit operating systems for any GPU architecture. - NVIDIA Fermi GPUs
Beginning with Release 396, the NVIDIA Game Ready driver no longer supports
NVIDIA GPUs based on the Fermi architecture.
