DONTNOD Entertainment Have 3 Games Planned For Next-Gen Consoles

DONTNOD Entertainment was put on the map with the success of Life is Strange on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the PC. Their successful episodic franchise is what gave way to Life is Strange: Before The Storm, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a small game to showcase their new engine and lastly, Life is Strange 2. They also developed Vampyr which also has had a good reception. The studio may have revealed their line-up for the Next-Gen Consoles.

DONTNOD Entertainment is a studio that is currently synonymous with the Life is Strange IP. The series is published by Square Enix and has seen some great sales on all the platforms. The studio also released a Victorian-era RPG game by the name of Vampyr, which had a mixed reception but was also met with good ratings. The studio is working on a new game that takes inspiration from Twin Peaks and Alan Wake, Twin Mirror that will be published by Bandai Namco.

DONTNOD Entertainment Is Ready for the Next-Gen Consoles?

The studio recently issued a press release where they talk about the studio’s progress since going public, the current state and the future of the studio. They say that their current 5 projects are doing well and they look forward to continuing to work in video games.

Their 5 Projects are:

  • Life is Strange Season 1
  • Life is Strange Before the Storm
  • Life is Strange Season 2
  • Vampyr
  • Twin Mirror

With all that out of the way, The press release has some curious details about their upcoming projects. This means that the studio plans on remaining very busy long after they finish developing Twin Mirror.

The studio did not name any of the IP’s but have given them the label of Project 6, 7 and 8. The most details that are currently revealed in the press release are Project 6 has an unnamed publisher. What this says about Project 7 and 8 is a mystery.

The studio stated that the release window for Project 6, Project 7 and Project 8 is currently for 2020 till 2022. This means we will be well into the next console generation by the time the projects are released or announced. Twin Mirror looks like the last game that will release from the studio in 2019 for the PS4 and the Xbox One with their future games coming to the PS5 and the Next Xbox.
