Bixby was introduced last year, to compete with Apple’s Siri and Google’s Alexa. Even though, Bixby has several unique features, it’s not as popular as Samsung wanted it to be. To be fair, Bixby is very intelligent and has a better voice that most smart assistants. However, some people think the Bixby button is in the wrong position, and find it irritating.
In addition to the Bixby button not being in a comfortable place, there’s no to it. The button is right under the Volume rocker. This means it might get pressed accidentally a lot! And, Samsung has made sure that you can’t remap the Bixby button or use it for something else. However, we’re going to help you disable the Bixby button!
How to Disable Bixby Button on Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+
Since there’s no way to remap the Bixby button, we will be disabling it. This would mean you will no longer activate Bixby by accidentally pressing the button!
Steps:
- Press the Bixby button on your smartphone. This will launch Bixby.
- Tap the radio button next to the Bixby key option at the Bixby Home.
- Turn the radio button Off to bring the options.
- Select don’t open anything will disable the button bring Bixby Home.
You can turn off Bixby Voice from the settings as well!
And, Viola! Now, you don’t have to worry about Bixby launching randomly from your pocket!
