Dead Island 2 is a sequel to Techland’s Dead Island: Riptide, announced back in 2014. After 6 years of no new info, Dead Island 2 is apparently, still in development. Many fans have given up hope for a proper sequel, but there’s some reassurance to be had, that at least it exists, we hope. The 2015 build of the title has however, leaked online, and with that Dead Island 2 Leaked Footage is available for fans to watch.
We’re unsure when the title will actually come out, but Techland’s Dying Light 2 is supposed to come out this year. For now, all we have for Dead Island 2, is this leaked build, which can show an early look of what the game has to offer.
Dead Island 2 Leaked Footage
We were able to get access to the leaked Yager (development studio) build and are currently in the process of recording exclusive footage from it. You can now watch the gameplay footage below by us, including some kill montages.
THQ has confirmed back in 2019 that the title is still under development, by a different studio, called Dambuster studios. This build, however, is by Yager, which was the second studio to start development on the title. Techland moved on from this project to purse Dying Light. You could say that this title is in development hell, but hey, any bit of content for it helps.
“As noted in today’s announcement, Dambuster Studios is now the lead developer for Dead Island 2. This transition has been planned for some time and has no impact on Sumo’s business or financial outlook. We look forward to Dead Island 2’s release and we wish our partners at THQ Nordic great success.”
