Crackdown 3 is an upcoming action-adventure video game for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It is being developed by Sumo Digital, a British game developer, and will be published by Microsoft Studios. It is a direct sequel to Crackdown 2 which came out 9 years ago on the Xbox 360. The game has run into problems ever since the development was announced, initially, the game was scheduled for release back in 2016 but owing to some problems the release date was pushed to 22nd Feb 2019. However, today we have news that the game has been yet again delayed and the new Crackdown 3 Release date is 28th Feb instead of 22nd.
Crackdown 3 Release Date Quietly Delayed
Our attention was brought to this by Microsoft’s listing of the game on their online store. Previously the game was listed for a 22nd Feb 2019 release but just recently we noticed that the date was changed to 28th Feb.
Moreover, when we checked Amazon listing of the game we found the same updated date of 28th Feb there too. It can be seen below
This raises many questions, primarily that what has prompted the developers to delay the game yet again. Is the game still far from being in the last stages of being finished? Are more delays expected? We’d say judging by Sumo Digital’s track record it wouldn’t be completely implausible for the game to be delayed even more. To make things worse, the original tweet that sent out mentioning the release date to be 22nd Feb has also been taken down.
Stunts like these by developers only work to tarnish people’s faith in them. I think Microsoft should release an official statement as to why the game has been delayed without any prior notice.
This is it, for now, we will let you know when more info arises. Leave us a comment below and tell us what you make of the delayed release date.
