Microsofts’s Xbox Game Pass is often referred to as the “Netflix for Games” because the monthly gaming subscription grants users access to a catalog of games from a range of publishers for a single monthly subscription price. To make an already great service even greater, Mike Ybarra, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft, announced today that Xbox Game Pass will now allow players to preload games before they are released so that players can be ready when the game goes live. He also announced that Crackdown 3 on Xbox Game Pass will be the first game to offer preload.
Crackdown 3 on Xbox Game Pass will be the first game you can preload!
As mentioned earlier, Mike Ybarra made the news official when he took to his Twitter and posted the following
One of the biggest asks we’ve had for @XboxGamePass was to allow pre-load (pre-install) so you can download and be ready the second launch happens. It’s available now – and starts with Crackdown 3 on Xbox and Windows. ????????????????

Apparently, this was a much sought after feature by the users. Microsoft has finally implemented the idea and now you can preload your favorite games a few days before release if you are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. I was already a fan of the monthly subscription system to try out new games but now it seems even better.
At just $10 every month, you get to enjoy many new games and it is essentially a way for determining if you like a game enough to actually pay the full price and own it.
Crackdown 3 Release Date
After much drama and suspense, just a few days ago at Microsoft’s X018 conference, the date of release for this highly anticipated game was finally announced. The game is scheduled for release on Feb 15 next year. It is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on the same day.
