Code Vein is a game many gamers were anticipating. It looked like a pretty cool Action RPG game on its own but many gamers were quick to point out its very obvious similarities and inspirations from another beloved series. We know it’s a meme to claim that games are “just like dark souls” but Code Vein had some clear inspirations. Many fans dubbed it “Anime Dark Souls” due to its aesthetic. Initially the platforms the game was announced for were PS4, Xbox One and PC but recent revelations seem to suggest Code Vein for Nintendo Switch might be happening.
How do we know that Code Vein for Nintendo Switch is Happening?
A user with the name “KtSlime” on Resetera was very keen in checking the EULA’s at Bandai Namco’s website. He looked at the EULA’s first from July 2018 and the following screenshot highlights his findings.
Pretty standard stuff, right? Code Vein is listed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. He then took another screenshot this time from March 2019 and here’s what he found.
Here is where things get interesting. Code Vein is listed for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The fact that Code Vein has an EULA for Nintendo Switch all but confirms that Code Vein on Nintendo Switch is happening. Be weary though, this could very well just be a mistake and could mean absolutely nothing. We have yet to see any official confirmation of this.
The game itself has been quite silent. The release date has been pushed back several times and it has been over two months since we’ve heard anything of substance concerning the progression or development of the title. The last we heard was that the games release was pushed back into 2019.
