Sony in the start wasn’t reluctant for a crossplay amoung different platform, however, Microsoft and Nintendo Switch. Finally, on 26th September Sony announced Fortnite cross-platform play shocking the world and taking the people by a very pleasant surprise. When I read this Tweet one thing came to my mind which was “Will Activision be implementing crossplay in Call of Duty tiltes or Destiny as well?”. Activision just gave their answer which you can check out below.
Black Ops 4 Crossplay and Activision Response
People started asking Activision about Call of Duty Black Ops 4 crossplay after a very successful and great beta run. Which impressed a lot of players including ones who started to hate Call of Duty. Especially the Blackout beta was amazing. I loved everything about it. The gameplay (which I love ever since I’ve been playing CoD titles), map, guns, Zombies like it looks so much polished and better looking despite having somewhat cartoonish graphics. The community loved it as far as I heard and saw.
Cut to The Chase! What’s the Official Activision Response?
Activision in reply to the community asking about crossplay said to this IGN,
“We’ve had a great experience with cross-play for Hearthstone on other platforms and have witnessed how compelling it can be for our community. There’s still a lot of work to do on both our side and the platform side to understand whether cross-play might be integrated into our other games, so we’ll be watching the upcoming test and will assess what the potential impact of this feature would be for our players and our games.”
This means Activision is interested in a crossplay but have to work on titles they are going to release like Call of Duty Black Ops 4 which is their upcoming biggest title of this year.
