Marvel has really been sweating in the past years and has been sharing some remarkable piece of filmography. Marvel has set a spectacular road map for its upcoming and future films. Marvel still has The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man (to be honest never know what and why is there an Ant-Man) ahead of them. But here is this big news. Plot details are already starting to surface for their film after that, Captain America 3.
This piece of information emerged when the Russo brothers were talking to Yahoo Movies. Following a directing stint on ABC’s upcoming Agent Carter (which is again a Marvel TV Series), the filmmakers will dive into Captain America 3. It takes place a “couple years” after The Winter Soldier. This is from the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron:
According to this site, Captain America 3 will primarily focus on Steve Rogers’ (aka Captain America) complicated relationship with Bucky Barnes (aka Winter Soldier). Although, they say and I quote “themes of politics and power will still be in play”.
“The character was invented for an explicitly political purpose,” Anthony Russo said, “so it’s hard to get away from that nature.” Added Joe Russo when talking about Captain America 3, “His morality is part of his superpower.”
In addition, the brother said Captain America 3 will bring upon “some new elements to the table that will give us a twist on Winter Soldier.” As Yahoo has theorized, the Russos could be hinting at Steve passing the shield on to Bucky or even Falcon. This is being theorized, because both have assumed the role of Captain America in the comics.
This is also highly likely possible, given that star Chris Evans has talked about shifting his focus to directing down the line.
But then again, there is no hard and fast evidence about the mentioned fact. This is mere speculation about Captain America 3.
