Battlefield V Medic Class

Main Role of Medics

The main role of medic as you have already guessed to make sure your squad is healthy, thriving and they survive in the battlefield. They can do this with the help of rapid revives and health replenishing Medical Pouches which helps your teammates to live longer in a team fight in the war zone.

There are two types of Medics, Combat Medics, and Field Medics. I’ll discuss them later in this post.

Weapons and Gadgets

Since you are a medic, it is common sense that you will be constantly in the battle zone but instead of fighting enemies your aim is to healing and make sure your squad survives for that you will be constantly healing and reviving your allies with Medic Pouches. You are provided with an SMG for close to medium combat ranges because if your ally is down and need medic you have to make sure the area is safe around you first then you can focus on reviving your ally.

You can mess the enemy vision with Smoke Grenade Launcher and use the opportunity to revive multiple downed friendlies. Medic weapon is the syringe, which revives any teammate faster than the new non-medic revive available to everyone in your squad. Weapons and gadgets are set per Class, with more unlocked just by playing.

Primary Weapon Category

  •  Sub-Machine Guns

Starter Gadgets

  •  Medical Pouch
  • Smoke Grenade Launcher

Combat Roles

Combat Roles add more depth to the classes by providing two types of roles for each class at launch. These are already tied to the classes and you can pick the class, role, and loadout to your liking. Each Class gets two Combat Roles at launch with one equipped as a default, and the other unlocked by playing.

Tips from Core Game Developers

Jeff Landa the EA write for Battlefield and Battlefield Competitive writes:

  1. Whether you play the Field Medic or Combat Medic, making sure to supply your teammates with Medical Pouches when possible will always help your overall effort. Equipping the Medical Crate as an optional gadget, which you can earn through progression, lets you place healing supplies in set tactical locations instead of requiring you to stay within throwing distance of friends.
  2. Experiment with each Combat Role when you unlock the Medical Crate and see what fits your playstyle and the current situation best.
  3. Field Medics, be sure you try this: use the Spot button to ping your downed friends, which will trigger a temporary burst of sprint speed. This can help reach your friends in time and make you a harder target for pesky enemies. Calling out to downed friends like this will also ping them in the UI to make them aware of your intentions to revive.
  4. Combat Medics, remember to deploy smoke near fallen friends, then engage any enemies nearby with your SMG and your lethal melee attacks. Once the area is clear, use your Medic skills to revive your friends.
