Every serious gamer knows what the Diablo Videogame is. The insanely famous action role-playing hack and slash video game was developed by Blizzard North and was released by Blizzard Entertainment in 1996. The game saw 2 subsequent sequels and has been a major hit on all major platforms. Now we have news that a Diablo Animated Series is in the works on Netflix and we couldn’t be any more excited.
Andrew “Andy” Cosby Tweeted on Wednesday about a potential animated series based on the popular Diablo games. However, he had to delete the tweet shortly after as the rumor is that announcement is scheduled for BlizzCon this year.
Andrew “Andy” Cosby Tweeted Diablo Animated Series Coming to Netflix
The boom studios founder seemed to have violated some sort of confidentiality agreement and was compelled to take down the tweet, however, he said in the tweet that he is in “final talks” to write and show-run the upcoming series from Activision and Netflix. “It’s very exciting and I hope to the High Heavens it all works out,” Andrew said.
It seems too good to be true honestly seeing how The Witcher series is also in the works currently. However, this is any Diablo fan’s fantasy and we sure hope that it happens. It sure looks to be a good year for Netflix with the amount of interest and anticipation they have caused.
We haven’t been able to find the tweet as it was deleted shortly after but the contents of the tweet mentioned above are accurate and read by many. Nevertheless, Blizzcon 2018 is just around the corner and we are hoping for an official announcement and more details on the Diablo Animated series.
This is all on the subject, for now, we will keep you posted when new info becomes available.
