In recent years, AMD’s CPUs have become prominent amid content creators, gamers, and normal consumers. Particularly, the Threadripper series has become renowned for its price-to-performance! This year, AMD has planned to release four new Zen 2-based Ryzen Threadripper PRO CPUs. As per AMD, the Threadripper PRO CPUs are intended for professional studios, designers and data scientists. Whereas, the Threadripper CPUs are intended for content creators, gamers and streamers. While both CPUs provide remarkable performance, the Threadripper PRO CPUs will always be better.

Earlier today, the specifications for the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3000 CPUs were leaked. From what it seems, these CPUs promise much more performance than the Threadripper CPUs. According to the specifications, the Threadripper PRO CPUs will support up to 128 PCI-E 4.0 lanes, which is twice as much as the Threadripper CPUs. And, the Threadripper PRO CPUs will support up to 2 TB of UDIMM (Unbuffered DIMM), RDIMM (Registered DIMM), LRDIMM (Load-Reduced DIMM) and 3DS (three-dimensional stacking) RDIMM EEC memory.
Similar to the Ryzen PRO CPUs, the Threadripper PRO CPUs will also feature AMD PRO Technologies, which includes PRO Security, PRO Manageability, and PRO Business Ready among others. As of now, AMD is releasing four Ryzen Threadripper PRO CPUs; the 3995WX, 3975WX, 3955WX and 3945WX. For now, we are unsure of the costs of these new CPUs. But, they are expected to release on 14th July, which is just around the corner.
