Earlier we talked about Intel Core i5 8500 Leaked by SiSoftware SANDRA, today, it’s another leak by the same company. The Ryzen 5 2600 and ASUS X470 Motherboard.
Last week, at Consumer Electronics Show (CES), AMD announced several new products. Among them was AMD’s 2nd generation of Ryzen line of chips based on Zen+ architecture.
The records of SANDRA database leaked two new products, The AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU and ASUS Crosshair VII HERO X470 Motherboard. The codename of Ryzen 5 2600 is ZD2600BBM68AF_38/34_Y in the SANDRA database which will replace its 1st generation Ryzen 5 1600. You can get these new motherboards on great discount offers from Dealslands for your next PC build.
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU Specifications:
Following are the specifications we found from this leak.
- 6 cores and 12 threads
- Base clock speed of 3.4 GHz and Boost clock speed of 3.8 GHz
- It has 16MB of L3 cache and 3MB of L2 cache
- 65W of Thermal Design Power (TDP)
From the literal looks, Ryzen 5 2600 has almost the same specs of its predecessor excluding the clock speed. The Ryzen 5 1600 has a 3.2GHz base clock and 3.6GHz boost clock. Considering Zen+ architecture and slight increase of clock speed, Ryzen 5 2600 will definately be better.
Ryzen 5 2600 and ASUS X470 Motherboard Leaked:
The picture of leak above also shows ASUS Crosshair VII Hero motherboard based on AMD’s X470 chipset. AMD didn’t share much of the information about x470 chipset before, but they did say, it is optimized for 2nd generation Ryzen processors and, it will offer lower power consumption and better performance.
When AMD revealed Zen architecture it talked about Zen 2 and Zen 3 along with main. But we are just going to get our hands on Zen+. This image below shows what we could expect from AMD.
The Zen 2 actually pronounced as 2nm processors and soon AMD is revealing this to market. AMD said, Zen 2 is complete and ready for production which will improve Zen architecture on multiple levels. Zen 3, on the other hand is scheduled for 2020, its either complete or under final testifications.
This is all for now, let’s hope for more leaks or proper news from AMD.
