SanDisk announced world’s first 512 GB SD card. Yes that is half a TB in just a single thumb sized chip. The card is aimed to professional photographers and videographers who shoot 4K videos more often. Back in February this year SanDisk released a Micro SD card with a storage capacity of 128 GB.
The 512GB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC card can read up to speed of 95 MB/s and has a write speed of 90 MB/s which means it can easily handle a 4K video recording or burst shooting with a very high frame rate. The fisr 256 GB SD card was released by Lexas back in 2012 but now SanDisk has come forward and introduced world’s highest capacity 512 GB SD card.
The SanDisk card comes with SanDisk usual life time warranty and is temperature proof, shock proof, waterproof and x-ray proof. It comes with RescuePRO® Deluxe data recovery software to recover your accidentally deleted images.
But what about the price? The price is of course very high. It comes with a price tag of $800. Yes you can buy a DSLR camera in this price. Not everyone can afford this price but if you are a regular 4K video shooter and you are a professional photographer then you might afford this card and it will meet your storage needs to a large extent.
