Well here it is folks, the moment you’ve been waiting for. There is official news about the upcoming anticipated potential blockbuster, Now You See Me 2. The news is that Daniel Radcliffe will be joining the set of Now You See Me 2. The actor best known for the magical character of Harry Potter, will be trading the wizard’s robe for a magician’s hat.
Co-star and previous actor, Michael Caine, spilled the beans in an interview with HeyUGuys. Thursday, on the interview, he did not tell only about the upcoming joining actor, Daniel Radcliffe, but also about the whereabouts of the set of the Now You See Me 2. He said, that not only he would be returning in the sequel of the 2013 magician caper flick, but an actor, who already knows about a little more about magic will be joining.
And not only will Daniel Radcliffe be joining Now You See Me 2, but also he will be featuring as a family member of Michael Caine’s character. “There’s a sequel to ‘Now You See Me’ and we’re shooting in London,” Caine told the site. “I shoot in December, the whole of December in London, and my son is Harry Potter. I thought it’d be funny, me and Daniel Radcliffe as father and son.”
This also confirms a report form Deadline, which wrote Thursday that Daniel Radcliffe was in talks for the role in Now You See Me 2. He joins Michael Caine along with other cast members, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, and Woody Harrelson.
Radcliffe has a busy couple years ahead of him, thanks to roles in films including the Judd Apatow and Amy Schumer vehicle “Trainwreck,” and “Frankenstein,” playing the Igor to James McAvoy’s titular doctor.
“Now You See Me 2” is due in theaters on June 10, 2016.
