As per Google’s Update Wednesday, YouTube app for Android has now been updated. The update has brought the app to version 5.9. The update is quite tiny one. It comes with number of tweaks. Details ahead!
The playlists section of new YouTube app is significantly improved. For new users, the app now shows a quick guide which shows the existing features. You can also save a particular playlist for viewing later. Moreover, in a playlist, you are now shown ‘Add’ button instead of ‘Like’. There is no change in the function of the button. Other than that, instead of ‘Show more’, there is ‘View All’ button in the slideout menu of the app. The button now takes you to your Profile’s Playlist tab, showing all the videos.
Google has not still published the new YoutTube app update on Play Store. So, no change log is there. The update will be soon made available. However, prior to that, you can download it manually from sources below,
Make sure to have enable the option for third party apps from Settings menu. It’s quite interesting to think what Google has in its hands for version 6.0. Material Design? Well, we have not seen any such leak so far. However, it can’t be lined out. Do you guys want Material Design on YouTube app? Do let us know in your comments below.
