xxxHOLIC anime is based on the highly acclaimed manga series written and illustrated by CLAMP (Cardcaptor Sakura, which is another acclaimed series). The series is kind of confusing. 1. xxxHOLIC
That’s the name of the very first season of the series. The season aired from April 7, 2006 to Sep 29, 2006, with a total of 24 episodes. Tsutomu Mizushima directed the season at Production I. G.
PLOT
The story revolves around a boy named Kimihiro Watanuki who can see supernatural stuff like ghosts and spirits which is something he is not fond of. One day while getting annoyed by spirits he enters a strange house. Where he finds a mysterious woman who can get rid of his issue…. but for a price. From here it begins Watanuki’s mysterious adventures.
2. xxxHOLiC Kei
PLOT
xxxHOLIC Kei is the second season in the series, the story continues with Kimihiro Watanuki’s life being a misery due to spirits. Despite finding the person who can get rid of this issue of Watanuki, the mysterious woman Yuuko, tells him she will get rid of Watanuki’s troubles only if he works and earns enough to be able to pay her.
Watanuki’s supposed romantic rival Shizuka Doumeki and his crush Himawari Kunogi also faces misfortunes regarding Yuuko’s customers and all those people who closely follow him with his friends.
3. xxxHOLiC Movie: Manatsu no Yoru no Yume/ Tsubasa Chronicle: Tori Kago no Kuni no Himegimi Crossover
Both of these are movies, first one is xxxHOLiC Movie: Manatsu no Yoru no Yume in which Watanuki again gets into a mess with Yuuno when she receives an invitation to a mysterious house. The owner of the house wants Yuuno’s wish-granting ability. After reaching the mansion they realize there are other people who have received the same invitation and are collectors looking to expand their collection.
The collectors, however, start to disappear one by one. It’s on Watanuki and his companion now to solve the mystery or to find themselves in danger.
xxHOLIC Movie: Manatsu no Yoru no Yume MAL link
The second movie is Tsubasa Chronicle: Tori Kago no Kuni no HImegimi as we’re talking about xxxHOLIC anime it is pointless to get into the details of this movie. 4. xxxHOLiC Shunmuki/Tsubasa: Shunraiki
Shunmuki is the OVA comprises of two parts of the series which shares a crossover with Tsubasa: Shunraiki which also have two OVAs all 4 of the OVAs are linked together.

5. xxxHOLIC Manga
After this there is no anime to watch so if you’re wondering where you can start after finishing all of the anime you can start reading the manga at around 150 chapter. Tsubasa can start around with 180 chapter.
6. xxxHOLIC Rou
xxxHOLIC: Rou takes place ten years after Shunmuki. After all these years and events of Shunmuki, Watanuki takes over the shop which was run by the mysterious woman Yuuno as a promise to her. Watanuki lives along with his companions (in relative contentment) and a few familiar faces can be seen around the shop.
Eventually, Watanuki receives a visit from Doumeki’s grandfather. To entertain his request for an investigation of his grandson’s dreams. Watanuki takes offers and investigates the dream world. While inside, he discovered how his past adventures are played out from Dourmeki’s perspective of view. Revealing secrets and truth from 10 years ago which ties their friendship.
