A subsidiary group of Lava mobiles, Xolo is planning to bring a Windows Phone device in the Indian market. The device weighing under 100g will surely get the title of ‘lightest smartphone in the World’. Xolo’s lightest smartphone will take the crown from Samsung Galaxy S4 mini which weighs 107g.

Getting in to details of this lightest Windows Phone handset, the company surely have succeeded in breaking the barrier of ‘100g’. This has not even achieved by popular International companies i.e. Samsung, Nokia, hTC and LG. The small weight does not means that the phone will have very low specs. According to TimesofIndia, the handset will come with 4.7-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset. Not much details were made public by the company’s officials.

Last week, the company introduced a Windows tablet. Let’s see when this phone will make its debut. According to sources, the lightest smartphone will soon be launched in the India market at a competitive price of 12,000 INR ($200). The light weight definitely have given the price a bit upward shift. But for such a less weight, this should not be a concern.

It’s not for the first time that Xolo has come with amazing products. Previously, it has also introduced devices with Intel, Nvidia and even AMD chipsets.

Micromax has just unveiled the two Windows Phone handsets. You can read about them here. This means, Xolo will not be the first company to introduce WP devices in India. But surely, it’s going to have the crown for unveiling lightest smartphone ever.
