Sony released PlayStation 4 about a week ago and it hit 1 million sales in just 24 hours. That was really a Milestone by Sony. Microsoft released its next generation Xbox One console yesterday and sold more than 1 million consoles just like Sony did. But Xbox launch was Worldwide releasing in large number of countries but Sony achieved this milestone by selling out 1 million consoles in just USA and Canada. Microsoft has not made any such regional distinctions. But still it’s the biggest launch ever in Xbox history.
Moreover, Xbox Vice President added,
‘We are humbled and grateful for the excitement of Xbox fans around the world. Seeing thousands of excited fans lined up to get their Xbox One and their love for gaming was truly a special moment for everyone on the Xbox team. We are working hard to create more Xbox One consoles and look forward to fulfilling holiday gift wishes this season.’
